Kahana Sunset E11

Our family of 5 (adults) had a great stay at this rental property. It was what we expected based on the description. Spacious, clean, a marvelous view and delightful property. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a great place to stay.

Wonderful stay in E11. Had a few minor incidents and Jill was super responsive and so great to work with. Definitely felt taken care of. Beautiful unit and great views.

This place was being our expectations! They had everything to make our vacation memorable. We were there with 4 of our children and there was plenty of room for all. Small beach but close by Ka’anapali beach if you are looking for more beach area. Kids loved the pool was right there also. Host was wonderful and very responsive. Would definitely stay here again!

This complex is very lovely. They have a nice grassy area and beautiful pool. I liked that it was a smaller complex with a neighborly feel. The unit was a corner unit with lots of light. It has everything you need for a great vacation.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Kahana Sunset condo. Beautiful view with whale watching and good accommodations. Would definitely come back here.

We had a very nice stay in the condo. It is a well stocked unit. We had a few minor issues that were dealt with in a timely and efficient manner. Hope to return again one day.

The unit was great. The air conditioners were perfect. Everything was clean and the hosts were very accommodating. The only downfall was the lack of a beach. It was beautiful but not perfect for kids to play and run around on the beach.

We were "stuck" here without power for 5 days during the Lahaina fire. The Kahana Sunset Owners Associates gave us the use of their generator-powered office for charging our cell phones. Condo owners and visitors rallied around to support each other. It was a surreal experience for everyone. The property is quaint and beautiful. Private beach with pleasant waves. The unit was very nice and the balcony had a lovely view - including sunsets. There are actually 2 balconies. Unfortunately there were ants in the kitchen and dining area. It's my understanding that ants are not uncommon in Hawaii kitchens.

As first timers to Maui I wasn’t sure what to expect. This place was amazing with beautiful views, swimming pool and private beach. I think the best part were the amenities provided in the condo. All the kitchen items you could ever need, washer/dryer, beach toys/chairs/towels and cooler. The property was clean, bright and cheery. The property owner was very responsive and made the whole process of checking in/out very easy. I highly recommend this property! Only complaint would be that parking is tight, our rental car was hard to maneuver in and out.

We had the best time staying in E11 and the hosts are so responsive. We are already planning our trip back!

All the condo amenities were included in the rental, so very little had to be brought on the vacation other than clothes and toiletries. Great view and very friendly staff. We’ll be back!

Had a chance to stay at Kahana Sunset for Spring Break. We had stayed here previously when I was younger, so it was great to be able to return with my wife and own children(ages 12 and 9), as well as my parents. This place is perfect for relaxation. We spent the days at the beach, swimming, snorkeling with exotic fish and sea turtles, and reading in the sun. In the evening, while we BBQed, the boys swam in the pool. We ate our meals on the lanai, watching sunsets and trying to spot whales in the distance. It was secluded from the crowds and activities in the south, while still being close enough to explore when needed. I hope to return.

Lovely condo with great views. Plenty of room for 3 people. We were very comfortable, and the management company was very prompt to resolve any issues we had.

After spending some days in Hana and Wailea, this was the last stay in our Maui vacation and we did not regret any minute of it.
Starting the day with enjoying our morning coffee on the upper deck, seeing humpback whales close by. After having breakfast we went down to the small private beach with the clearest water you can imagine, snorkeling with some turtles and fish. And then we had the choice to visit some really good beaches, go on some wonderful hikes and see the Nakalele blowhole. All conveniently close. In the evening we enjoyed the wonderful sunsets and would love to come back someday.

We loved our stay. The rental wasn't fancy but it was cozy, clean, and as advertised. May want to invest in a new electric stove. Only one burner seemed to be working. Other than that, zero complaints a d would stay again.

Really enjoyed this. Two beds, two br, kids had a place (and br) away from us. Good kitchen, great view of the ocean. Seemed like a quiet complex, good place for a relaxed vacation.

The place was clean and besides a few minor issues which were addressed right away everything was wonderful. The view off top lanai was fantastic. The property was kept in excellent shape kodoos to the landscapers and the pool guys. Would highly recommend this facility to anyone.

The views from the unit and the lanai are amazing and we were able to sit and watch the whales in the distance every day. The location is great too, with lots of places to eat within a 15min drive and a grocery store nearby. Although the beach in the complex is very small, there are many great beaches with public access just down the street or a short drive away. In my opinion, the unit itself needs some work; the bathrooms need a deep cleaning and the kitchen is a bit dated. Some of the drawers almost fall out when you pull them open, and the stove is temperamental, so cooking was a bit challenging. We had some issues with the bathroom and the washing machine, but Jill in the management team was great and sorted it out quickly.

This is an excellent condo for the traveller concerned with their budget. While there were a few negatives with this rental the location and amenities available outweigh the few things that could be improved upon.
CONS - mould on shower curtain, not all burners worked on the stovetop, missing kitchen sink plug, washing machine didn’t work, no air conditioning in 2nd bedroom, furnishings are getting tired.
PROS - very affordable rental cost for Maui, location was excellent, pool was great, private beach was nice, very quiet complex, lanai’s were very nice, beach supplies were a nice added bonus, assistance from rental owner and complex management was excellent.

We felt so spoiled staying here in unit E11. Spacious, the beds were very comfortable, everything you need from beach chairs and towels to laundry detergent, beautiful view of the ocean...and we saw 5 turtles swimming around. We enjoyed all the lounge chairs on the property to relax on, and enjoyed relaxing by the pool - and the refillable water station by the pool was a refreshing bonus. Thanks for the wonderful stay!

We had an excellent time staying in this condo I would say the only negative is that the waves were so crazy up against the beach wall that we were never able to access the beach, which is not the condos fault of course. I do wish the main floor had an AC unit. It was very hot especially when we’d be cooking too. Other than that we had a lovely time is it hardly ever busy.

Corner unit with lovely iee and weaher. Since it had no AC in the living room I was bit worried but it does get hot from 2-6pm oher than those hours, you get alot of breeze because its a corner unit. We enjoyed our time on balcony so much so that we are planning to return next year. *** We did see 2 big cockcroaches in the unit but its the property maintenance issue..

This is a fantastic spot for families of all ages to get away and enjoy beautiful Maui! Cozy private beach, beautiful outdoor spaces to gather and watch sunsets, close to fantastic shopping. It has everything one needs to relax and unwind!

Unit is exactly as described. It is starting to show its age and needs a refresh but those things do not detract from the rental unit. It is probably the best located unit within Kahana Sunset. Resort personnel are great and the owner was responsive and easy to deal with. Overall, 10 out of 10. I hate to give such a good rating because I want to keep this little slice of heaven under wraps. Would highly recommend this unit and the resort itself to anyone staying on Maui. Aloha.

We've visited this property several times but it was the first time staying in this unit. We really appreciated the sweeping views of the gardens as well as being able to see the ocean and pool from our lanai. Communication was clear and easy. Room was well stocked with essentials. Would definitely stay here again.

I took my two children to Maui and we truly enjoyed ourselves. Thank for having beach chairs and gear.

Words cannot describe what a wonderful trip we had, and what a perfect home base this condo was. 10 minutes from Kaanapali, 15 minutes from Lahaina, 10 minutes from Kapalua made it super easy to get around West Maui.

The condo itself was lovely--big, clean, BRIGHT & amazing views (don't underestimate how wonderful it is to have a corner unit for those breezes & natural light)! We had more than enough room for our family of 4 and it was great that our kids had a bedroom/bathroom to themselves and separate beds.

The entire property was very well maintained, and the pool was warm & sparkling clean. We made friends with Junior who works on the property and he was so nice, even sharing some coconuts with us! The beach area was beautiful and it was so nice to pop in for a swim right outside our front door. The community grills were clean and a great convenience to have.

We were pleasantly surprised by how great this rental was. The private beach, the amount of room, and the cleanliness were all amazing. Not to mention the rental staff were always attentive and always made sure you were okay and doing well. This was a great experience we had here at Hula Hideaway in Maui.

The condo was just what we needed. The corner unit was cozy and decorated with a casual Hawaiian vibe. The kitchen was well equipped. Watching the sunset from the windows or the lanai each raving was a treat.
The beds were good and the rental company quick to respond to any questions or needs. I would highly recommend this property.

Have returned here for 15 years and love Kahana Sunset and this condo. Full of old Hawaiin charm and located on property with direct beach and beautiful grounds right there. Jill was very responsive to our needs and the grounds crew was delightful and helpful as well. This is Kahana at its best!

We had an amazing time! This was our third time staying at Kahana Sunset. We loved our room, and we loved that they had it equipped with everything we needed. The view and grounds are absolutely gorgeous, and we love the people that work the grounds!

Had a great time on West Maui staying at Kahana Sunset! Location is perfect for hitting all the beaches and the property is great for kids.

We loved the location of this VRBO!! It is what I imagined a traditional Hawaiian place would be like. Snorkeling with the turtles right outside our condo was an added plus - amazing. Maui is truly a beautiful place. My only negative was that we could hear the people partying outside the bedroom but the beauty of the place outweighed this concern.

This was a cozy yet roomy beachfront vacation getaway with well-stocked everything! The deck off of main floor and then off of upstairs master was great...can hear the surf in the distance. I loved the upstairs bedrooms...

We spent a week at this beautiful home, where I enjoyed coffee on the patio outside my room topped with a rainbow each morning! Four of us had plenty of space (and fun) in this lovely unit, and enjoyed the private beach and great location. Would definitely come back!

Fabulous family time together

The condo was tastefully decorated, well-maintained and in one of the best locations in Napili. Area was quiet and you can hear the waves at night and awaken at 530 to the chorus of birds. It was a corner unit so there was plenty of ocean breezes and bright light. Plenty of spaces for beds. A king bed across from a twin in the master and a queen and twin in the adjoining. Beautiful views, comfortable kitchen, relaxing pool, fruit shared by the association. Be prepared for stairs up to the bedrooms. Only complaints were the lack of a/c on stagnant days, the occasional island bugs (ants!/roaches), running toilet, no bathroom soaps, and immovable awning. Watch out for aggressive birds that will enter the unit if screens left open. Host brought us an extra fan for the hot days. Really enjoyed the free activities at Whaler's (lei-making, hula) and dining at Sea House.

We thoroughly enjoyed the condo; it exceeded expectations. The beds comfortable and beautiful ocean views from lower and upper decks. Great locations, private white sandy beach. Nice pool and spa. Located near grocery store, shops and great restaurants in Whalers Village. Would highly recommend this property and will be back!

We've been to Maui several times but this was our first staying in the Napili area. We loved it! Just a bit quieter, with a number of hidden jewels (The Kapalua Coastal Trail, Seahouse Restaurant, Coffee Store, A'A Roots).

E11 was an excellent home base! The large decks (really large!) made the condo seem even more spacious than it was. We often saw whales spouting but one morning, as we enjoyed our coffee, they put on a display that we will never forget.

Aside from the whales, Jill was the best thing about E11. We had a few very minor issues and she was quick to rectify them, doing her best to make our stay absolutely perfect. Thanks Jill!

One slight word of caution about Napili is that there are no sidewalks along the lower road. If you are one to do a morning run or walk, you will be doing it roadside. The speed limit is 20mph so quite safe but a tad unnerving for this runner. Once I found the Kapalua Coastal Trail, a two-minute drive north, issue resolved. Great bus service to Whaler's Village along the lower road, which was a breezee to hop on for $2.

I would not hesitate to recommend E11 to friends and family!

We had an awesome time at the condo. I really liked that the unit was so close to the pool for the kids. The pool was never too busy and the kids had a great time. The unit was nicely laid out and had everything you could need. Jill was very prompt in addressing any issues. We loved the location and the view was amazing. We even saw whales from our lanai. We would definitely want to stay there again.

We had the best stay. We loved the condo. The view couldn't be beat. We were so close to the beach and that beach gave us the best snorkeling experience we had. We snorkeled almost every day. We must have seen 20 turtle, two eels, an octopus,and so many beautiful fish. We slept to the sound of the waves and woke to coffee and breakfast on the lanai. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. I loved the decor. It was very clean, we were able to use many of the convenient items in the kitchen. WE truly appreciated the use of this home. Thank you for sharing!!

Enjoyed our stay in Kahana Sunset. The condo was clean and a good layout, with two bedrooms and two baths upstairs. No restroom on main floor. Kitchen well equipped with a gas grill near pool for grilling. Friendly neighbors. Small ocean front beach difficult to enjoy due to heavy surf.

Had a spectacular time. Bthen I even expected. Everything was perfect from eating establishments to beaches to hiking.

Easy rental, great communication, condo is super comfortable, great size for family of 4, fabulous location on beautiful private beach in quiet area. LOVELY!!!! The only fault we found was the lack of AC for some hot nights with low tradewinds (in June) and found it hard to sleep because it got sticky.

A beautifully furnished condo was perfect for our family of six. It had everything we needed for a beach vacation with kids. The best part was the private beach and pool. There were other people there, but it never was crowded. We had a wonderful, relaxing stay.

Outstanding location. At times there were 5 of us and sometimes just 2 or 3. Plenty of room. Lots to do around the property and plenty of room inside if we were all in the unit. A small bathroom downstairs would make it ultimate. The beach access is better than last year but several days the weather warning around the island required no entry due to extremely rough and high tides. Everyone at the resort still hung out there though because it was fun to see all of the turtles and crabs about. Pool was awesome and staff were amazing. Jill and her husband were very helpful and took care of anything we needed. They are a big reason we have rented 3 years in a row from their properties.
