Honua Kai - Konea 508

Our family of 4 had a great stay in the Konea 508 at the Honua Kai.
1. The apartment was spacious. It had a bedroom for me and my husband and two sofa beds so my kids did not have to share a room. We would have preferred a bunk bed or two twins in the den area because taking out and putting away the sofa beds was kind of a pain, but we knew that going in and chose it so at least the kids wouldn't have to share a bed.
2. It was great to have access to a full kitchen and washer/ dryer.
3. You couldn't see the ocean from inside the unit, but you there was a partial ocean view from the deck. The deck got morning sun so it was a little hot to have morning coffee out there unless we were up early. But it was great in the afternoon and evening.
4. The unit was nicely equipped with beach chairs and boogie boards.
5. Check in was very easy with having a door code and just needing to check in for a parking pass.
6. The pool areas were all nice. I just wish there were more umbrellas and/ or the umbrellas could be tilted to provide shade at different sun angles.
5. The beach was great, the waves were not too big and my family was even able to do some snorkeling right off the beach. Beautiful sunsets
6. We loved Duke's restaurant and ate dinner there twice and ordered by the pool a few times. Reservations book up quickly but there is a walk up list. We put our name in at 5:15 one day and we were seated around 6pm.

We had a wonderful experience at this rental. It was spacious, and the extra den with the pull-out sofa bed was perfect for our kids. The living area was comfortable and many times we sat out on the deck, eating our meals, looking at the greenery and the ocean. The owner was great to communicate with and would respond quickly to any questions we had. Would recommend and stay here again!

We had a wonderful time at this location during our stay in Maui. It's great for families. The pools were perfect fun for the kiddos. They loved the slide and waterfall in the main pool area. Great distance to the beach and Duke's Beach House! The valet staff was amazing upon arrival, during the stay and check out. The place was comfortable, spacious and loved having access to a kitchen during our time. I recommend this place to everyone. We will definitely be back!

We absolutely LOVE staying here. This was our 2nd time here. It has the comfort of home with a resort feel. The multiple pools were a hit, also being steps from the sand. Also included are all the things needed for a day at the beach. Location is perfect. Near all the restaurants and mins from
The grocery store! This will forever be our “go to” place to stay!

We absolutely love staying at this resort and this time was even better. The room was beautiful and spacious, especially with the extra den that really made a huge difference. Also, the mountain view was so stunning. We had double rainbows multiple times a day and it was absolutely gorgeous!Every beautiful as the ocean view. The unit came with everything we needed. We were perfectly comfortable and everything was lovely. Of course the resort and location is absolutely wonderful! We took a trip to find snorkeling then came back to the resort and snorkeled right here and found all the same stuff including more turtles!! All the pools are wonderful and clean and beautiful and my son spent lots of time chasing geckos. We also really love the feral cat community that comes out in the evening to say hello. This is hands down our favorite place to stay in Maui and we will definitely be coming back. We are already planning our trip for next summer!!

Honua Kai 508 was prefect for our family of 4 (2 kids, 2 adults). We used the den as a second bedroom for the kids freeing up the living room for every day use. The unit is well equipped with everything you need from beach equipment to cooking utensils. The lanai has a view of the ocean but our favorite part was the spectacular view of Maui's terrain and volcano behind. Location was excellent on West Maui, close to shopping and activities.

2nd stay in Honea Kai and we love it. This particular condo was very clean, well maintained and beautiful! Had everything we needed. Would stay again!

The Condo was great. We arrived early and the team did everything they could to get us checked in a little earlier. After a loooooong flight it was very much appreciated. The service with Hula Hideaway was easy and they were always prompt to reply. Condo was great and very well stocked for our family. The view from our unit was lovely. The grounds were beautiful and our family really enjoyed it. Thank you!!

The pictures of the view from the lanai and the pools do not do this place justice. Just amazing! Family of 5 with three teens had plenty of space to spread out and come together as needed. The resort itself is not overcrowded and you can watch a beautiful sunset from the beach every night. With Duke's on property you can swim and listen to live music while the sky changes color. Also, you are close to many other beaches and food opportunities if you can pull yourself away from the resort. If this wasn’t enough the place was clean, had everything you could need and the owner was easy to communicate with.

This condo was beyond our highest expectations! The resort was amazing.. with beach access. The condo was the nicest we’ve ever stayed in.. . It served our family of 4 perfectly. I hope to return in the next year or two!!

This was our 2nd time staying in Honua Kai Konea 508 condo and we will absolutely return here every time. The condo is just the right size for our family of 5 and we love having the ability to cook our own meals and do laundry during the week. Our kids love the pool, fast beach access and it's super convenient to eat at Duke's for meals. Highly recommend!

Very convenient location, private pools and hot tubs and beach amenities, close to Dukes restaurant, huge bathroom, quiet and soft bed. Hall way was stuffy and parking was limited.

The unit was clean, had everything we needed to cook, had nice beach chairs to use, plenty of towels and linens to use. No issues with internet and/or air conditioning. Hula Hideaway very efficient in sending all information we needed prior to check in. The resort and grounds are nice and well maintained and just lovely. Would definitely stay here again.

The condo was perfect and the resort is amazing. It was my wife and I, plus a 7 yo and 5 yo in the den pullout, and a 1 yo in a pack n play. It was plenty of room. The resort is amazing with a water slide, splash pad area for the little one, tons of other pools, hot tubs, you name it. The beach is huge and if you walk down the boardwalk to the south a little bit, there’s good areas to swim with No rocks or coral. Definitely a five star experience.

We loved our stay here. The owners were so receptive when things came up prior to our trip. They made sure we knew they were available once we arrived. Beautiful place with plenty of space for the five of us. Highly recommend!

Always amazing staying in this suite!! We already know our dates for next year to book again in same suite!! Hula hideaway is always a great company to book with. HUGE shout out to Courtney who ai had the pleasure of dealing with and she answered all my questions and many that didn’t even apply to her but yet she ALWAYS was willing to help, I can not say enough good things about her, the property and Hulahideaway.

Only thing I would suggest for the condo is wash cloths for dishes and or a scrub brush! But super minor!!

Condo was beautiful and modern; the furnishings were lovely and had everything we needed. Only 2 minor issues regarding the dryer and oven, but nothing that required a call to maintenance or the owner. Loved having the den space for work and the patio was great for dining and school work. Overall, I would definitely rent again and recommend to others!

This was a last minute booking due to a medical issue with my daughter, so we were already in a panic having to extend our stay quickly! Hula Hideway was prompt in responding to my inquiry, cost was affordable especially for how beautiful the property was (the unit was awesome). We certainly appreciate their professionalism!! This condo was perfect for our family! It had everything we needed for the beach and pool. The owners a responsive and quick to help. It was easy to rent this property. Questions were answered almost immediately. There were extras such as beach chairs, cooler, beach floats etc were available for our use.

We stayed for 6 nights. The room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. The location was great, convenient to Lahaina Town. The set up of the room was perfect for our family, our young sons shared the pull out bed and slept like rocks every night! The pools were great, though you do have to be strategic about getting chairs sometimes. My only complaint was the dryer took forever and a lot of babysitting to dry clothes. We would absolutely stay here again, we had an amazing time in Maui.

We had a wonderful time at Honua Kai Konea #508. The room was just as described in the comments and pictures. Hula Hideaway made sure to take great care of us when we requested additional blankets and pillows! The resort is beautiful, staff is friendly, the beach is amazing and Duke's has great food. The best we had on the boardwalk.

My family and I stayed in Konea #508 for 7 nights and loved every minute! The unit was clean and had everything we needed including plenty of towels, beach toys/chairs, paper towels/toilet paper, laundry detergent, etc. The unit was a perfect layout for our family of four. Our two young kids slept on the pullout sofa in the den and it was like they had their own room. We enjoyed the ocean view from the lanai and the room was in great location to elecators to access the pool/beach and parking garage. We would definitely stay in this unit again and can't wait to come back. Thanks to Jill and her entire team at Hula Hideway for their excellent customer service!

After we had to postpone our trip last April, we were thrilled to be able to make it to Maui in December. Our stay at Honua Kai 508 was fantastic. The condo has everything our family of four needed and more. It was spacious and comfortable. Our kids slept on the pullout in the den and it was plenty of room. I loved the lanai and the way the doors opened. The resort is awesome and so was the beach. The bracelet entry system is slick. We would stay here again in a heartbeat and already thinking of coming back with family and renting this unit and the one next door. Jill and her team were super responsive to our questions. As someone who owns vacation rental properties, I can say unequivocally that this is a first rate rental and experience.

Being in Hawaii during the Covid shutdown was certainly a unique experience, but staying in unit 508 made my stay very comfortable. The Hula Hideaway team were very responsive especially since my flights kept getting canceled and I needed to stay additional days. The unit was well stocked and provided great extras like games, spices, beach chairs and a cooler.- although we weren’t allowed to sit on the beach. Having Netflix, Hulu and prime video certainly helped with the many hours spent indoors. No services were available, but the unit made a cozy retreat. The den made a handy 2nd bedroom with the foldout couch. We loved the patio for meals and the mountain and oceans views, but were a little disappointed that the screens could not be used because the friendly birds would fly in if the door was left open at all. As much as I love birds, I’m not to fond of the gifts they tend to leave inside. Parking was easy, but with the closest elevator closed, it was a long walk to the unit. The staff at Hula Hideaway and unit 508 made my stay outstanding despite the pandemic. I would definitely recommend both.

We have worked with Jill and her team at Hula Hideaway for over 7 years and they're amazing. Super easy to work with and willing to do anything for you during your stay. We have stayed at this property multiple times and it's awesome. Always clean and has everything you could want to make your stay the best it can be from beach to pool.

We had a great trip and received the best service. I had misread our airline booking (we left one night earlier than planned) and when I explained this to J with Hulahideaway they adjusted the contract for us.

Unit was very spacious, with all modern furnishings and fixtures and great layout.

We loved our stay at Honua Kai. Our unit had a well stocked kitchen and nice furnishings. We enjoyed breakfasts on the patio with views of both the ocean and the West Maui mountains. The pools were great and we loved access to the Beachwalk that passes through the property for morning strolls. Having extras for use, like the cooler with ice blocks, was awesome. Property Manager, Jill, was very responsive and sent help when we had trouble running the TV (someone had unplugged a connection which we did not know). The valet service and self-parking were both easy to use. My massage at Ho'ola Spa was wonderful and we also enjoyed dinner at Duke's one evening and it was excellent. We would definitely stay at Honua Kai and in unit #508 again.

Really don't have much else to say other than our stay was amazing. The property is exactly as advertised and communication with Hula Hideaway always very easy and they were great to deal with.

We were more than satisfied with our rental. Great location, super friendly staff, great amenities in our room and throughout the resort. We would come again and recommend to a friend. It was hard to come home!!

We have stayed at Honua Kai a few times over the years, and we always love the property and location. This particular unit was perfect for our family of 4. The extra den area was perfect for the kids...they loved having their own little space and a place they could rest/go to bed when ready. Lovely ocean view to the right on the balcony and west Maui mountains to the left. Hula Hideaway was very professional and answered all questions very promptly. We will definitely be back to Konea 508 on our next visit to Maui! A perfect place in our little paradise!

Would definitely stay again. Place was as described, resort was perfect for our 3 and 1.5yr olds, very central location, and great service from the management team (Jill and Sarah) before and during our stay.

We would recommend that a blackout curtain be added on to the den so that it can be separated from the living room if being used as a bedroom. It would have made mid-day naps, and bedtimes, easier. Hope to make it back to Maui soon!

Condo in a new resort. Condo itself is large, comfortable, welcoming. There is an ocean view from the porch. Porch has a table for outdoors eating. Kitchen fully stocked. Grounds with great pools, and the beach is just a few feet past the pools. Great for families (lots of children staying at the resort). Only negative comment--the condo has just one bathroom/toilet, despite the large size and capacity of the room. We'd be happy to return again soon!

we loved our condo 508 in the konea building. The additional den with pull out coach and tv was perfect for my two teenagers. The view to both the west Maui mountains in the morning was amazing as well as the view to the ocean and molokai with the western sunsets over the water. The resort is beautiful and condo was perfect. We did grill out at the grill area facing the water- nice add to the resort. We had to rent a wheelchair for my mom and the concierge at the resort took care of everything. It was very easy to manuever around the many sidewalks with the wheelchair. Thank you for that. We have been to Maui over 10 times and this is the best resort. I cannot wait until the villas get finished to stay in those. thank you for everything. See you in 2020.

My husband and I had an amazing time in this condo. It was spacious, impeccably clean, and comfortable. We really appreciated some of the beach offerings; chairs, snorkel gear (and pool noodle!) and cooler. We were very satisfied.
The only negative is that our key 'timed out' on our last morning, leading us to have to walk in our bathing suits to the next building over and ask for help from security. It caused us to be about 45 minutes behind in getting to the airport. Thankfully, we made it in time.
We would love to come back to this same condo in the future.

This is the second time staying in this condo and it was great like last time. Has everything we needed. Management was very quick to respond when I contacted them. The only issue was that the soap dispenser in the bathroom was not working and the plant on the dining table attracted ants. Overall we loved our stay and plan on coming back in a few years

Our experience was terrific from start to finish. Jill was outstanding in terms of customer service and her knowledge of the area, amenities and such. We had a slight issue upon arrival at the property. Jill was professional and diligent in resolving things. We would love to go back to the property and to work with Jill again in the future. The property description including the amenities, was spot on!
